Sensex gains 2100 points

Tremendous surge in stock market
Before deepawali the stock market saw a sharp rise after the finance minister's announcements for the industry. The Sensex jumped over 2,000 points in a single day. Presently, the Sensex is trading at 38,228.51 with a gain of 2,135.04 points. Earlier, the Sensex rose by 900 points soon after the announcements.
The GST Council is scheduled to meet in Goa on 20 September. The Sensex gained 121.45 points to 36,214.92 this morning, while the Nifty opened 42 points at 10,746.80. The 30-share Sensex Sensex based on the BSE saw a strong gain of 98.41 points at 9.43 am at 36,191.88 and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) 50-share sensitive index Nifty also traded at the same time with a gain of 20.35 points at 10,.15.

.A day earlier on Thursday, the Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex fell by 470 points due to heavy selling in the shares of banks and energy companies. The 30-share Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange finally settled in the range of 626 points during the day's trading. It closed at 36,093.47 points, a loss of 470.41 points or 1.29 percent. During trading it once went up to 35,987.80 points in the bottom and 36,613.93 points in the high.

Similarly, the National Stock Exchange's Nifty closed at 10,704.80 points, down 135.85 points or 1.25 percent. This is its seven-month low. Earlier, the Nifty closed at 10,604.35 on February 19, 2019.
